An update from the City of Portland regarding the Community Oversight Advisory Board

The City of Portland has asked COCL to share below information with you, regarding a community forum next Monday evening, and a Questionnaire to Assess COAB Structure, Duties, Goals. 

60-Day COAB Recess & Cancelation of August Executive Committee Meeting

 The City and DOJ have come to an agreement on a 60-day COAB recess.  During this period, the City will seek community stakeholder input in evaluating the community engagement and oversight provisions of the Settlement Agreement and propose and discuss amendments with the DOJ team with an eye toward strengthening the community engagement process.

AMA Coalition for Justice and Police Reform's Second Community Forum on Proposed Changes to City's Police Accountability Process

The Albina Ministerial Alliance Coalition for Justice and Police Reform will be hosting a second community forum on proposed changes to the City's police accountability process Tuesday August 23, 2016 6:00-8:00pm at:

August CEOPS Meeting Update

In lieu of the August CEOPS meeting, CEOPS members will be doing work related to community focus groups. The next CEOPS meeting will be September 15th

Next Executive Committee meeting: Wednesday 08/24/16 1-3pm

Due to the 60-day COAB recess, this meeting has been canceled.
